Toys for the Poor Foundation Inc., took roots when its founder Mr. Frantz Devilmé encountered a mother with five children in tears because she could not afford any gifts for her children for Christmas. This moved Mr. Devilme deeply. Touched by her situation, Mr. Devilme, with the help of his business partners and some very close friends and family members, purchased some brand new toys for her children and for some other kids in the area. Therefore, they decided to continue year after year, until the movement became what it is today. Mr. Devilmé co-created an initiative to positively change his community by grass roots involvement. The Foundation’s aspirations were the following:

– Instill a sense of hope to needy children throughout the community by “putting a smile on a child’s face” during the Christmas holiday season

-Provide toys to underserved children from the ages 0 to 12 years old in the Little Haiti area of Miami, Florida, USA.
